Question 1

What does a truck dispatcher do?

Accepted Answer

A truck dispatcher coordinates freight on behalf of carriers: searching for suitable loads, communicating with brokers, negotiating rates, assisting with route planning, scheduling pickup and delivery appointments, and helping organize dispatch-related paperwork — so drivers can stay focused on the road.

Question 2

How does B&H Truck Dispatching help owner-operators?

Accepted Answer

We provide personalized dispatch support built around your operation: load searching aligned with your equipment and preferred lanes, rate negotiation with brokers, ongoing communication, and assistance with dispatch documentation. Our goal is to handle the coordination so you can focus on driving.

Question 3

What documents are needed to get started?

Accepted Answer

Onboarding typically requires a completed W-9, a current certificate of insurance, and your operating authority documentation (MC/USDOT), along with a signed dispatch service agreement that we review together during onboarding.

Question 4

Can I choose my preferred freight lanes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. During your carrier consultation we discuss your preferred lanes, home-time needs, and business goals, and we search for freight that aligns with those preferences. The final decision to accept or decline any load always remains with you.

Question 5

How are dispatching fees calculated?

Accepted Answer

Our fee structure is discussed during your consultation and clearly outlined in the dispatch service agreement before any work begins, so you know exactly what to expect. We do not publish one-size-fits-all pricing because every operation is different.

Question 6

Do you work with newly established carriers?

Accepted Answer

We work with carriers at different stages of their business. Onboarding depends on factors such as active operating authority and insurance, which we review together during your consultation. Reach out and we will discuss your specific situation.

Question 7

How do I become a carrier with B&H Truck Dispatching?

Accepted Answer

Complete the carrier inquiry form on our Become a Carrier page with your company and equipment details. Our team will review your information and contact you regarding the next steps in the onboarding process.
